Dark Blue Computer ServicesSpirit of Chaos Web Design is proud to be associated with Dark Blue Computer Services, a small firm in central Lancashire.
For the original website they wanted something friendly and informative. The firm is now expanding with more business customers, especially in the financial and marketing sectors and development of a new website is ongoing.
We promise we will keep a few of the cartoons though.
Steve Luck MusicSteve's site is totally content managed inside a template. His original site was flash based which, although looking very cool, meant he had to constantly ask for things to added and updated. We confined the flash to a skipable intro and gave him forms to fill in instead. He has since gone on to win an RTS award, we think it was the website that swung it.
The site was designed to meet his needs with specific areas to upload short samples of both audio and video as a showreel as well as a client uploads area that can take larger files. It works well for him and he manages to keep it up to date despite being a very busy man.
T. G. ReikiFor the T. G. Reiki website we wanted an atmosphere of calm contemplation that informed but wasn't too heavy.
We succeeded with this by choosing a cool monochrome palette and short yet relevant pages designed to show without scrolling. To add a friendly touch we used fun animated menu buttons that moved when rolled over but were highly readable.
Newridge LtdNewridge Ltd buy and sell surplus motor parts to the motor trade.
They wanted a smart website to advertise their business, with relevant but not overdone content. There is a password-protected section where they can display current stock and special offers, to which interested parties can request access.
The password-protected section uses a custom content management system to add and manage stock.
Momentum XOIn putting together the Momentum XO website I had to work as closely as I could to the design of their brochure, converting brochure templates to css and html.
In a second phase we password protected the 'meat' of the site, the case-studies, to force interested parties to start a dialogue with Momentum XO and give Momentum XO the facilities to send out marketing material with passwords to gather data on the effectiveness of the information they were providing
Home and FinanceAdrian at Home and Finance wanted a basic site that was simply a form for people to get in touch with a few pop-up windows to give information about the services he could offer.
He wanted the site to be clean yet friendly with no clutter to turn off his potential clients but enough information to establish his company on the internet.
The Last Song is the LoudestThe Last Song is the Loudest wanted a website to give potential gig arrangers the chance to have a look at them and their music in more detail than they could go into on their Myspace page.
I'm informed they are recording at the moment and the downloads page is going to be updated with new music soon.
